Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are applied in many time-critical applications, e.g., industrial automation and smart grid. This highlights the importance of Delay Constrained Relay Node Placement (DCRNP) problem that builds a path fulfilling a specified delay constraint between each sensor and the sink by using a minimum number of relays. Due to the NP-hardness of the DCRNP problem, in this paper, a polynomial time Subtree-and-Mergence-based Algorithm (SMA) is proposed to approximately solve the DCRNP problem. First, a shortest path tree rooted at the sink and connecting all sensors is built to check the feasibility of the DCRNP problem. If the DCRNP problem is feasible, then the paths of this tree are progressively merged at some relays, which are not limited to those relays lying in the originally the originally built shortest path tree, to save deployed relays while maintaining the obedience of delay constraints. With the repetition of this mergence, the number of deployed relays is gradually reduced. Furthermore, the approximation ratio and the time complexity of the proposed SMA are elaborately analyzed. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of this work. Simulation results show that SMA can significantly save deployed relays comparing with existing algorithms.  相似文献

The diversified use of filamentary composites in harsh marine environments, recorded in recent years, has prompted researchers to focus their work on the reliability prediction. Through failure criteria, Tsai–Wu and the maximum stress, the reliability of multilayer tubular structures under mechanical loading is the subject of this paper, where Monte Carlo method estimated the failure probability. A sensitivity analysis was performed in order to identify the influence of the different parameters, such as materials’ properties, geometry, manufacturing and loading, on the reliability of the composite cylindrical structure studied. To achieve a high accuracy of the results, we have carried out 105 simulations. The results showed great influence on pressure loading, ply thickness and finally winding angle of filament composite.  相似文献

Caffeine is the most widely studied psychoactive molecule in history due to its many pharmacological activities and a high number of biological and physiological effects. In literature, there is a great number of applications that describe extraction, identification, and quantification of caffeine in foods and beverages. For this purpose, an extraction step is followed by an analytical technique for the identification and quantification of caffeine. This work proposes an innovative method in which sample preparation, separation, and detection steps are unified in a single step. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the determination of caffeine in coffee, tea, and cocoa by means of an online extraction coupled to a liquid chromatographic system equipped with a photodiode array detector. The developed methodology was validated in terms of sensitivity, detection limits, accuracy, and precision. The advantages of this technique are (i) a significant reduction of analysis time (more than 70%) and of solvents used (the extraction step is integrated in the chromatographic analysis), (ii) the whole procedure is thus completely automated drastically reducing possible operator errors to occur, and (iii) easily realized by using a conventional monodimensional liquid chromatography system.  相似文献

In this paper, the graphene was synthesized using biocompatible cellulosic component from onions. Onion epidermal cells were chosen as raw material. During heating at high temperature, the bonding among atoms in material was rearranged and forms two-dimensional hexagonal carbon layer (graphene). The characterization of synthesized graphene was done by x-ray diffractometer, Raman spectrometer and field emission scanning electron microscopy, respectively. An attempt has been taken to form the capacitors with two different current collector electrodes, anticipating the performance of the supercapacitors. The observed capacitance values as-obtained for Al and Au current collector were 1.3 μF and 6.08 μF, respectively. However, when thermally exfoliated graphene was used as an electrode on Al and Au current collector, the capacitance value was drastically increased and found to be 1.6 and 41.25 μF, respectively.  相似文献

Amorphous silicon carbide (a-SiC:H) thin films were synthesized using trichloromethylsilane by a hot wire chemical vapor deposition process. The deposited films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to confirm its chemical bonding, structural network and composition of the a-SiC:H films. The optical microscopy images reveal that hydrogen dilution increased the surface roughness and pore density of a-SiC:H thin film. The Raman spectroscopy and FTIR spectra reveal chemical network consisting of Si-Si, C-C and Si-C bonds, respectively. The XRD spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy indicate a-SiC:H still has short-range order. In addition, in vitro cytotoxicity test ensures the behavior of cell–semiconductor hybrid to monitor the proper coordination. The live–dead assays and MTT assay reveal an increase in green nucleus cell, and cell viability is greater than 88%, respectively, showing non-toxic nature of prepared a-SiC:H film. Moreover, the result indicated by direct contact assay, and cell prefers to adhere and proliferate on a-SiC:H thin films having a positive effect as artificial heart valve coating material.  相似文献

The present contribution discusses critical aspects of the thermal alteration that HAp particles undergo when passing along the extremely hot plasma jet. This heat treatment leads to dehydroxylated phases such as oxyhydroxylapatite/oxyapatite as well as thermal decomposition products such as tri- and tetracalcium phosphates, and quenched phases in the form of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) of variable composition. The contribution also includes studying the influence bioinert TiO2 bond coats have on adhesion, crystallinity, and composition of HAp coatings. Moreover, the question is being addressed whether oxyapatite might exist as a (meta)stable phase or whether its occurrence is merely an ephemeral event. In addition, the article deals with the role that HAp coatings are playing during in vitro interaction with simulated body fluid (SBF) resembling the composition of extracellular fluid (ECF). The biological and biomechanical advantages of using HAp coatings for medical implants as well as salient aspects of their biomineralization and osseointegration will be discussed in some detail.  相似文献
